As the wave of arbitrary arrests of citizens in Ilam Province continues, these detentions have in recent days extended to teenagers and children, raising growing concerns about the situation of those detained.
According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, January 4, 2026, Amin Yousefi (26), and on Monday, January 5, 2026, Reza Doosti-Nejad (24) and Artin Sohrabi (17) all residents of Ilam were arrested by security forces and transferred to unknown locations.
Additionally, on the evening of Sunday, January 4, 2026, three other children from Ilam Amirali Abdian (16), Sadra Mansouri (17), and Firooz Faraji (17) were arrested by security forces near Imam Khomeini Hospital and taken to undisclosed locations. This incident had been previously reported by Kolbarnews.
According to reports, all of these arrests were carried out without presenting judicial warrants, and to date no information has been provided regarding the reasons for the arrests, the places of detention, or the legal status of these citizens and children.
As of the time of writing this report, families’ efforts to learn the fate of the detainees have remained unsuccessful, and security and judicial authorities have failed to provide clear answers regarding their situation.
