Divandarreh; Arbitrary Arrest of a Citizen by Security Forces

Arman Faraji, a resident of the village of Nesareh Olya in Divandarreh County, was arrested by security forces without the presentation of a judicial warrant and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, July 4, 2026, security forces arrested Arman Faraji, son of Abdollah and Soheila, a farmer and resident of the village of Nesareh Olya in Divandarreh County, and transferred him to an undisclosed location.

According to information received, at around 9:00 a.m., while the citizen was working on his farmland, security officers arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant or any legal documentation. Informed sources stated that the officers verbally cited “activity on social media” as the reason for his arrest.

As of the time of publication, none of the responsible authorities have provided any information regarding the reason for the arrest, the possible charges against Arman Faraji, his place of detention, or the agency responsible for his arrest.
There is also no information regarding his physical or psychological condition, or whether he has been granted access to a lawyer, contact with his family, or any of the other legal rights afforded to detainees.

The arrest of citizens without a judicial warrant, their transfer to undisclosed locations, and the denial of their fundamental rights are practices that have repeatedly been criticised by human rights organisations as clear violations of the principles of fair trial and the fundamental rights of citizens.
