Mahabad; Citizen Temporarily Released on 15 Billion Tomans Bail After 130 Days of Arbitrary Detention

Anwar Moloudi, a resident of the village of Kheirabad in Mahabad County, was temporarily released after 130 days of arbitrary detention upon posting 15 billion tomans in bail.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, July 13, 2026, Anwar Moloudi, a 40-year-old resident of the village of Kheirabad in the Shamat District of Mahabad, was temporarily released after four months and eight days in detention upon posting the exceptionally high bail of 15 billion tomans.

The citizen was arrested on Thursday, March 5, 2026, by Intelligence Department forces in Mahabad without the presentation of a judicial warrant and was transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to information received, Anwar Moloudi was denied access to a lawyer, in-person family visits, and telephone contact with his family throughout the entire 130-day period of his detention.

Despite his temporary release, no official information has been published by the relevant authorities regarding the charges brought against him or the status of the judicial proceedings in his case.
