Bukan: Factory Worker Killed in Forklift Accident Just Days Before Retirement

A worker at a polyethylene pipe factory lost his life after a forklift accident.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, Seyed Taher Dadvar, a worker at a polyethylene pipe factory, died when a forklift toppled over in one of the factories located in Bukan Industrial Zone.

Local sources reported that Mr. Dadvar was a veteran worker of the factory and had only 20 days left until retirement. Authorities have not yet provided details on how the accident occurred or the state of workplace safety at the site.

It is worth noting that in 2024, at least 2,042 workers in Iran lost their lives due to workplace accidents, and at least 16,113 others were injured in such incidents.

Iran ranks 102nd in the world in terms of workplace safety standards, a very low position globally.
