Bukan: Arrest of Ali Mohammadi, Member of the Families of the Jina (Woman, Life, Freedom) Revolution

Ali Mohammadi, father of Shahriar Mohammadi one of the victims of the Jina revolutionary movement in Bukan was arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Ali Mohammadi, father of Shahriar Mohammadi (killed during the Jina revolutionary movement in Bukan), was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location. According to the report, the security forces made the arrest without presenting a judicial warrant.

As of the time of this report, there is no information available regarding the reason for the arrest, his place of detention, or the charges against him.

Shahriar Mohammadi, 28 years old and a resident of Bukan, was identified and pursued by security forces on November 19, 2022, during the public protests in the city following the killing of his friend, Mohammad Hassanzadeh, by security forces on November 16. On November 18, 2022, repression forces blocked off a street in Bukan (from Aliabad Square to the Welfare Office) and ambushed Shahriar Mohammadi’s car. They opened fire with live ammunition, riddling his vehicle with bullets.

After the shooting, the repressive forces quickly fled the scene for fear of public backlash. Shahriar Mohammadi, still alive, cried out his mother’s name and pleaded for help. He was transferred to Qolipour Hospital but passed away 40 minutes later, despite resuscitation efforts.
