Saqqez: Arrest of Two Citizens by Intelligence Office Forces

Two residents of Saqqez, Mehran Bahrami and Mohammad Mohammadi, have been arrested by Intelligence Office forces in the city.

According to Kolbarnews, on 27 June 2026, Mehran Bahrami, a resident of Saqqez, was arrested after Intelligence Office agents raided his workplace without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred him to an undisclosed location.
At the time of writing, the security authorities have provided no explanation regarding the reason for his arrest or any charges brought against him.

At the same time, Mohammad Mohammadi, another resident of Saqqez, was arrested after being summoned to the city’s Intelligence Office. According to information received, he had been informed that the purpose of the summons was merely to “obtain a written undertaking.” However, two days after reporting to the security office, no information has been released regarding his situation, and the authorities have refused to provide any information to his family.

At the time of publication, no reliable information is available regarding the whereabouts, legal status, physical condition, or the progress of the judicial proceedings concerning these two citizens.
