Sanandaj; Continued uncertainty and dry hunger strike by Azizeh Moradian in the Central Prison

Azizeh Moradian, a citizen from Sanandaj, has gone on a dry hunger strike in the women’s ward of Sanandaj Central Prison in protest against the continuation of her judicial uncertainty and inappropriate detention conditions.

According to Kolbarnews, Azizeh Moradian, a citizen from Sanandaj who was arrested by security forces about one month ago, has started a dry hunger strike in protest against the continuation of her judicial uncertainty and her situation in Sanandaj Central Prison.
This citizen, originally from the village of “Tangisar” in Sanandaj County and a resident of Marivan, was transferred to the women’s ward of Sanandaj Central Prison after her arrest in Marivan and is currently being held there.

Based on this report, Azizeh Moradian’s dry hunger strike began on Monday, December 22, 2025, and for the past three days, in protest against the continuation of her detention, judicial uncertainty, and detention conditions, she has refused food and water.

Despite the passage of 23 days since her arrest, Azizeh Moradian remains in a state of judicial uncertainty, and her request for temporary release on bail has been rejected by judicial authorities.

Azizeh Moradian was arrested on Monday, December 1, 2025, by agents of the Intelligence Department at her workplace in Marivan. At the same time as the arrest, security agents thoroughly searched her workplace and confiscated a number of her personal belongings, including her mobile phone.
