Sanandaj; Arrest of 60-year-old worker by security forces

Sediq Mahmoudi, a 60-year-old worker from Sanandaj, has been detained by the city’s security forces for more than a week, and so far no information is available regarding his condition or place of detention.

According to Kolbarnews, Sediq Mahmoudi, a worker employed at a coil-winding workshop in Sanandaj, was arrested more than a week ago by security forces for unknown reasons, and his fate remains unclear.

Based on this report, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, security forces entered Sediq Mahmoudi’s private residence in Sanandaj, created fear and intimidation, searched the house, confiscated mobile phones, and then arrested him.

As of the time of writing this report, no explanation has been provided regarding the reason for the arrest of this worker, and his family’s efforts to obtain information about his situation have been unsuccessful.

Given Sediq Mahmoudi’s advanced age and his underlying medical conditions, concerns about his health have increased, and the security forces bear direct responsibility for any potential threat to the health of this detained citizen.
