As a result of a chain collision involving several vehicles on the Sarbaz–Rask road, near the village of Jangal, one Sukhtbar lost his life and at least four others were injured.
According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the collision and overturning of four vehicles including two Sukhtbars, a Toyota pickup, and a passenger car on the Sarbaz–Rask road near the village of Jangal led to the death of one Sukhtbar and injuries to at least four others, including another Sukhtbar and the head of the Rask County Department of Education.
The exact identities of the deceased and injured in this road accident are not yet known, but according to local sources, the head of the Rask County Department of Education, Dadrahim Salahi, was among the injured.
Sources added that due to the overturning of one of the Sukhtbari vehicles and the spilling of diesel fuel on the asphalt, the road remained dangerous and slippery for hours. Following the accident, some of the injured were transferred to Velayat Hospital in Rask.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars. According to reports from Baloch activists, in the year 2024, at least 375 Baloch Sukhtbars have been injured or lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires. Of this number, 240 Sukhtbars were killed and 135 were injured, representing a 55% increase in the number of killed and injured Sukhtbars compared to the year 2023.
