North Khorasan: Release of Asmar Hamidi, Artist and Cultural Activist, on Bail

Asmar Hamidi, an artist and cultural activist from Maneh and Samalqan in North Khorasan Province, was temporarily released on bail after three days in detention by security agencies.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, 30 November 2025, Asmar Hamidi, an artist and cultural activist from Maneh and Samalqan, was temporarily released from prison on bail following three days of detention by security forces. On Saturday, 29 November 2025, she had been arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location. The forces had raided her home without presenting a judicial warrant to carry out the arrest.

Asmar Hamidi is one of the young Kurdish music artists in Khorasan and is also recognized as an active woman in the cultural sphere. She had previously been summoned by security agencies due to her civil activities, participation in cultural programs, and expression of critical views.
