Karaj: Death of a Citizen After Direct Gunfire by Government Forces

Continuing the suppression of popular protests, Reza Haji-Moradian, a Kurdish citizen from Qasr-e Shirin and a resident of Karaj, lost his life after being directly shot by government forces during protests in this city.

According to Kolbarnews, Reza Haji-Moradian was shot and killed by suppressive forces during the nationwide protests in Karaj on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Informed sources have confirmed that he lost his life as a result of direct fire from a military weapon. His body was buried on Monday, January 12, 2026, in his hometown of Qasr-e Shirin.

As of the time of preparing this report, government authorities have provided no official explanation regarding the circumstances of Reza Haji-Moradian’s death.
