Farshid Shekarsokhan, a 20-year-old young man from Islamabad-e Gharb in Kermanshah Province, is the identity of another person killed in the nationwide protests who lost his life during the street crackdown.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, January 8, 2026, Farshid Shekarsokhan was targeted by direct live gunfire from suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic to the head in the area known as “behind the Grand Mosque” in Islamabad-e Gharb and died at the scene. The body of this 20-year-old young man was buried on January 9, 2026, at the Imamzadeh Hasan cemetery in Islamabad-e Gharb.
According to received information, Farshid Shekarsokhan was an undergraduate student and, alongside his studies, was active as a wrestler and had won several sports medals.
After the death of this Kurdish citizen, security forces exerted pressure on the family in an attempt to restrict information dissemination and the holding of the burial ceremony, and issued warnings to the family about not publicizing the incident.
