Soran Feyzi-Zadeh, a citizen from Saqqez and a resident of Bijar, who was arrested by government forces on the evening of January 8, 2026, during nationwide protests in the city, died as a result of torture and severe beatings, and his body was secretly buried in an undisclosed location.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, Soran Feyzi-Zadeh, a citizen from Saqqez and a resident of Bijar, was arrested in the street by government forces during nationwide protests in the city and was subjected at the same time to torture with batons and repeated beatings, resulting in severe injuries.
After his arrest, this citizen was transferred to a hospital in Sanandaj and on Friday, January 9, 2026, he died due to the severity of his injuries.
During Soran Feyzi-Zadeh’s hospitalization, security forces prevented his family from visiting him, and after his death, his body was secretly buried in an undisclosed location in the city of Saqqez without informing the family.
The family of this deceased citizen has also been placed under severe pressure by security forces to refrain from any interviews or dissemination of information.
Soran Feyzi-Zadeh, son of Abbas, from Saqqez and a resident of Bijar, was married and had two children, one of whom is only three months old.
It is worth noting that local sources had previously reported the deaths of at least eight citizens during the protests on January 8, 2026, in Bijar and the transfer of the wounded to Besat Hospital in Sanandaj, reports that have not yet been independently verified.
