Arman Khaleghpanah, a citizen from Saqqez, was killed by direct fire from Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces around the city of Baneh, and three other citizens named Abdollah Mahjour, Salar Azar, and Sheikh Zahed Shahabi were arrested by these forces.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, IRGC forces surrounded a private vehicle near Baneh County and immediately opened direct fire on it.
As a result of the shooting, Arman Khaleghpanah, who was driving the vehicle, lost his life.
Following this incident, the three other passengers in the vehicle, all from Saqqez, were violently arrested by IRGC forces.
The identities of these individuals have been announced as Abdollah Mahjour, a former political prisoner, Salar Azar, and Sheikh Zahed Shahabi.
According to obtained information, several days after the incident, the body of Arman Khaleghpanah has still not been handed over to his family. In addition, the efforts of the families of the three detained citizens to obtain information about their fate and place of detention have so far remained unsuccessful.
In this regard, it has also been reported that after the arrests, IRGC intelligence forces raided the family homes of the detainees and conducted searches while creating an atmosphere of fear and threats. During these searches, the house of the Shahabi family was extensively damaged and ransacked, and after the security forces left, members of the family were forced to leave their home due to the situation created and the threats made against them.
Reports also indicate that during the past month a large number of IRGC forces have been deployed to various cities in Kurdistan. This process has intensified particularly after the announcement of an alliance by some political parties of Iranian Kurdistan and simultaneously with the beginning of military tensions in the region. As a result, the establishment of mobile checkpoints, vehicle inspections, and the application of pressure and violence against citizens on the roads of Kurdistan have increased.
