Six members of a Kurdish family from the city of Ivan named Ali Nazar Mahmoudi, Maryam Mohammadi, Elham Mahmoudi, Dr. Afshar Khosravi, Nila Khosravi, and Rayan Khosravi lost their lives after a residential building in the city was targeted; among the victims were two women and two children aged five years and six months.

According to Kolbarnews, in the early hours of Saturday, March 7, 2026, at around 05:30, during airstrikes by Israeli and American fighter jets on the city of Ivan in Ilam Province, a residential building was targeted. As a result, Maryam (Mahtab) Mohammadi, along with her husband Ali Nazar Mahmoudi and their child Elham Mahmoudi, were killed.
In the same attack, Dr. Afshar Khosravi, the son-in-law of the family, along with his two children Nila Khosravi (five years old) and Rayan Khosravi (a six-month-old infant), were also killed.
According to informed sources, the family members were at home at the time of the attack and lost their lives due to the intensity of the explosion and the destruction of the building.
A relative of the family told local sources that Ali Nazar Mahmoudi was a well-known pharmacist in the city of Ivan and owned a pharmacy in the city.
