A young Baloch child Kolbar reportedly abused by border guards of the Islamic Republic, and confiscated her belongings.
According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, July 9, 2025, a shocking video was released from the Milak border terminal, showing the painful scene of a young Baloch Kolbar girl being abused by an Islamic Republic border guard.
In the video, the young Kolbar girl, sitting on the ground and pleading to prevent the confiscation of her backpack, is met with threats and aggression from the border officer.
The officer’s attempt to seize the child’s belongings while she is visibly in a fragile mental and physical state has once again drawn public attention to the brutal and systemic oppression regularly inflicted on the people of Balochistan.
This child was among dozens of other children at the Silk Bridge crossing, carrying 1.5-liter bottles of gasoline an act of forced Kolbari as a means to support their families. In a region plagued by poverty, unemployment, and systemic discrimination, many Baloch children are left with no other option.
The Islamic Republic’s destructive policies marked by corruption, mismanagement of the economy, and entrenched discrimination against ethnic minorities and marginalized regions have created conditions where children must fight to survive at some of the country’s most dangerous borders, instead of going to school or playing.
What happened at Milak is not an isolated incident. It is a clear example of a broader, systemic policy of repression and humiliation against a population that has endured decades under tyranny, poverty, and discrimination.
