Shiraz; Arrest of Four Kurdish Citizens by Security Forces

Four Kurdish citizens from Takab, named Arman Ardam, Ashkan Ardam, Arshad Ardam, and Ramin Yousefi, have been arrested by security forces of the Islamic Republic in Shiraz, and more than two weeks later there is still no information about the condition and place of detention of two of them.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Arman Ardam, Ashkan Ardam, Arshad Ardam, and Ramin Yousefi were violently arrested without the presentation of any judicial warrant during a raid by security forces on a cold storage facility in the city of Shiraz, at their workplace, and were transferred to an unknown location.

According to available information, Arshad Ardam, 34 years old, from the village of Qezqapan in Takab County, and Ramin Yousefi, 25 years old, from the village of Hasanabad in Takab, were released after several days of detention. However, Arman Ardam, 22 years old, son of Ebrahim, and Ashkan Ardam, 24 years old, son of Mohammad, who are cousins and both originally from the village of Qezqapan and residents of the city of Takab, remain in detention.

Sixteen days after the arrest of Arman and Ashkan Ardam, the families of these two Kurdish citizens have expressed serious concern over the complete lack of information regarding their fate, place of detention, and physical and legal condition, and have so far received no clear response from security institutions.
