Saqqez; Continued Detention and Lack of Information on the Status of Four Citizens

Four citizens from Saqqez, identified as Sediq Yousef-pour, Hiwa Tataei, Hemen Hosseini, and Hamed Delavari, remain in an uncertain situation weeks after their arrest, and their detention orders have been extended.

According to Kolbarnews, these four citizens were arrested by security forces in Saqqez between mid-January and early February 2026. Hiwa Tataei and Hamed Delavari were arrested 34 days ago, while Hemen Hosseini and Sediq Yousef-pour were arrested about one month ago. So far, no clear information has been published regarding their legal status, place of detention, or conditions. The Intelligence Office of Saqqez has informed their families that their detention orders have been extended and that the interrogation process is still ongoing.

Based on follow-ups by their families, it remains unclear whether these citizens are being held in detention centers in Saqqez or have been transferred to Sanandaj. Repeated visits by their families to judicial and security institutions in Saqqez and Sanandaj to obtain information about their situation have so far yielded no results.

It is reported that Hiwa Tataei and Hemen Hosseini had previously been arrested during the widespread arrests coinciding with the first anniversary of the state killing of Jina Amini.

The continuation of detention and lack of information about the status of these four citizens has increased concerns among their families.
