Sajjad Veysi, a 30-year-old citizen and follower of the Yarsan faith, was arrested by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during popular protests and transferred to an undisclosed location.

According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, February 22, 2026, Sajjad Veysi, a resident of the Dareh Derij area of Kermanshah, was stopped and arrested by government forces on the road between Kermanshah and Sarpol-e Zahab. The arrest occurred while he was traveling with his wife from the Dareh Derij neighborhood to his father-in-law’s home in Sarpol-e Zahab.
According to received information, the arresting forces detained him without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred him to an undisclosed location. At the same time, Sajjad Veysi’s wife suffered a severe deterioration in her physical condition due to the violent behavior of the officers and the intense shock and fear, and she was taken to a medical center.
As of the time of this report, no information is available about his place of detention, health condition, or the charges against him, and his family’s efforts to obtain information about his fate have so far been unsuccessful.
