Miandoab; Arbitrary Arrest of Anvar Choupani and Transfer to an Unknown Location

In continuation of the wave of arbitrary arrests of Kurdish citizens in cities of Kurdistan, Anvar Choupani, a 36-year-old citizen from the village of Khankandi, a district of Miandoab, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, February 9, 2026, Anvar Choupani, a 36-year-old citizen from the village of Khankandi, a district of Miandoab, was arrested following a violent raid by security forces on his home and without presenting any judicial warrant. After the arrest, security forces transferred this citizen to an unknown location.
