Tahereh Soleimani, an environmental activist and one of those detained during the Jinā revolutionary uprising, was transferred to Kermanshah Prison to serve a final sentence of 3 months and 10 days of imprisonment. She is the mother of two young children and had previously sustained severe injuries during the protests.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, February 8, 2026, Tahereh Soleimani was transferred to the women’s ward of Kermanshah Prison to serve her issued prison sentence. This environmental activist was sentenced to this term on the charge of “propaganda against the system through sending images and criminal content to opposition parties of the system,” a charge she has denied, emphasizing that she has had no membership or activity in any political groups.
On December 9, 2022, during the Jinā revolutionary uprising and in the Taq-e Bostan Boulevard of Kermanshah, Tahereh Soleimani suffered a severe fracture to her arm after being directly struck with batons by suppressive forces. The injuries were so serious that after being transferred to medical centers, her arm underwent surgery and a metal plate was implanted.
After the protests subsided, security pressure against her continued, and months later she was repeatedly summoned and interrogated. In the latest case, in the early hours of August 24, 2025, security forces violently arrested her in front of her young children without presenting a judicial warrant. During this arrest, her mobile phone and personal laptop were also confiscated without judicial authorization.
This environmental activist had previously spent 19 days in arbitrary detention, which, according to announcements, will be deducted from her prison sentence. During her detention, she was deprived of the right to access a lawyer and to meet with her family.
