Meysam Nazari, a 42-year-old citizen man from Kermanshah, has been identified as another victim of the January nationwide protests in the city.

According to Kolbarnews, on Friday, January 9, 2026, Meysam Nazari was directly targeted by live ammunition fired by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests in Kermanshah and lost his life.

His body was handed over to his family after several days, under security pressure and in exchange for the payment of 700 million tomans, and his burial ceremony was held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the cemetery of the village of “Ali Baqer,” a district of the Jalalvand area.

The handover of the bodies of protest victims to families has in many cases been accompanied by security conditions, forced commitments, and the payment of heavy sums, and families have been pressured by security institutions to hold ceremonies in controlled conditions.
