Kermanshah; Death of Hamidreza Yousefi in the Mass Killing of the “Elahiyeh” Neighborhood

Hamidreza Yousefi, a young Kurdish man from Kermanshah, lost his life after being directly shot by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during the mass killing on January 8 in the Elahiyeh neighborhood.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Hamidreza Yousefi was directly shot by suppressive forces during popular protests in Kermanshah in the Elahiyeh neighborhood and lost his life.
An informed source regarding the mass killing in the Elahiyeh neighborhood on Shahid Boulevard added that dozens of people were targeted by heavy gunfire from suppressive and military forces of the Nabi Akram Corps, resulting in at least 15 people being killed and dozens more wounded. Hamidreza Yousefi is one of the victims of this massacre, whose identity was revealed after two weeks.
