Karaj; Death of Hassan Fallah by Live Gunfire

Hassan Fallah, a 45-year-old Kurdish citizen from Islamabad-e Gharb, is another of those killed in the popular protests in Karaj who lost his life after being directly shot with live ammunition by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic, with the bullet hitting his lower body.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Hassan Fallah, a 45-year-old Kurdish citizen from Islamabad-e Gharb, lost his life as a result of being shot by government forces.

According to this report, his family was not allowed to hold a burial ceremony in Islamabad-e Gharb; therefore, the body of this Kurdish citizen was buried on Monday, January 12, 2026, in his ancestral village of Hillan, a district of Ilam, at the Behesht-e Razavi cemetery in the city of Kahreh.

Hassan Fallah was one of hundreds of victims of the widespread popular protests in recent days, during which security forces suppressed protesters using firearms and a number of citizens lost their lives.
