Islamabad-e Gharb; Death of Dr. Sajjad Kiani, Dentist, by Live Ammunition

Dr. Sajjad Kiani, a dentist and a young man from Islamabad-e Gharb, lost his life after being directly shot with live ammunition by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during nationwide protests.

According to Kolbarnews, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, Dr. Sajjad Kiani was targeted by gunfire from government forces during nationwide protests in Islamabad-e Gharb and lost his life.
This young dentist was a well-known and respected figure among the people of Eslamabad-e Gharb, and news of his killing has caused a wave of anger and grief in the city.

It should be noted that government institutions have demanded amounts ranging from 700 million tomans to one billion tomans from families in Kermanshah in exchange for handing over the bodies of those killed, forcing families to pay these sums to receive the bodies.
