Amir Naderi and Saman Fattahi lost their lives after being directly shot by forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the January protests in the cities of Islamabad-e Gharb and Kermanshah.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Amir Naderi, 27 years old and from the village of Barfabad, a district of Islamabad-e Gharb County, was killed by direct gunfire from government forces during nationwide protests in the city.
Based on the information received, government suppressive forces fired live ammunition at protesters, during which Amir Naderi was struck by a bullet and lost his life.
On the same day, Saman Fattahi, a well-known athlete from Kermanshah and a member of the national taekwondo team, was killed by direct gunfire from government forces during nationwide protests in the Sabouni neighborhood of Kermanshah.
According to informed sources, Saman Fattahi was shot in the head with live ammunition by government forces and died.
He was a follower of the Yarsan faith and was the eighth citizen from this religious community to lose his life during the recent protests.
It should be noted that Saman Fattahi’s family received his body after paying 700 million tomans to security institutions, and he was buried on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Kouzaran Cemetery.
