Two Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives following the collision and fire of two vehicles in Dashtiari County, and another Sukhtbar was killed as a result of a landmine explosion in Saravan County.

According to Kolbarnews, citing Balochistan sources, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, two Toyota Land Cruiser vehicles carrying fuel collided with each other in the Rimdan border area of Dashtiari County.
Following the collision, the vehicles caught fire, and two Baloch Sukhtbars identified as Abdolhamid Nouhani, son of Elahdad, from the village of Pat in the Bahukalat district of Dashtiari County, and Nasir Askani, around 25 years old, son of Dadkarim and from the city of Pishin in Rask County, lost their lives due to the severity of their injuries and burns.
Also, Gahram Gomshadzahi, 45 years old, son of Faghirmohammad, married and father of seven children, from the city of Gosht in Saravan County, lost his life on the secondary road from Esfandak to Saravan while traveling in a Sukhtbari vehicle due to the explosion of planted landmines.
He was one of the well-known Baloch artists and musicians of the region who had turned to Sukhtbari because of livelihood difficulties and the lack of job opportunities.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars.According to the 2025 annual report of the Baluchistan Human Rights Documentation Network, at least 262 Sukhtbars were killed or injured. Of these, 173 Sukhtbars lost their lives due to gunfire by military forces, road accidents during pursuits by security forces, or explosions caused by mines planted by the IRGC, while 89 others were injured. Four child Sukhtbars were among those killed.
