Jafar Mokhtarifar, a poet, writer, and well-known cultural activist from Bukan, was arrested by Intelligence Office forces and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to Kolbarnews, on the morning of 28 June 2026, Intelligence Office agents raided the workplace of Jafar Mokhtarifar and arrested him without presenting a judicial warrant.
Before transferring the writer, the security agents thoroughly searched his shop.
According to the information obtained, after his arrest, security forces took Jafar Mokhtarifar to his home, where they carried out a comprehensive search of the premises. During the search, the agents confiscated a number of his personal belongings, including his computer, books, manuscripts, and personal notes, and took them away.
