Diako Ghadermarzi, a 19-year-old young man from Dehgolan and a resident of Tehran, lost his life after being directly shot by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic during popular protests in the city.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, “Diako Ghadermarzi,” a citizen from Dehgolan and a resident of Tehran, was directly shot by suppressive forces during popular protests in Tehran and was killed. The body of this deceased citizen was buried at night under a heavy security atmosphere, accompanied by the chanting of the anthem “Ey Shahidan” and the slogan “Kak Diako is a hero, a martyr of Kurdistan.”
As of the time of preparing this report, it is not known whether the family was required to pay money or sign a written pledge in order to receive Diako Ghadermarzi’s body; however, informed sources had previously told Kolbarnews that government institutions have demanded money from families in exchange for handing over the bodies of those killed.
