Tehran; Death of Ali-Ashraf Partavi During Nationwide Protests

Ali-Ashraf Partavi, a 40-year-old Kurdish citizen from Kermanshah and a resident of Tehran, is one of those killed in the nationwide protests in Tehran.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Ali-Ashraf Partavi was standing beside his personal vehicle on Sattarkhan Street in Tehran when he was directly shot with live ammunition by the suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic.
The bullet struck the upper area of his right shoulder, passed through his body, and exited from under his left armpit, and this Kurdish citizen lost his life due to the severity of his injuries. His body was buried on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the Imamzadeh Mohammad-Taqi Cemetery in Robat Karim.

Ali-Ashraf Partavi was an employee of Bank Sepah and, after finishing his working hours, worked as a taxi driver to cover living expenses. In his last contact with his family, he stated that he had taken a passenger and was on his way back home.

This Kurdish citizen was married and the father of two young children, an 11-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son, and after his death his family faced security pressure and restrictions during the process of receiving and burying his body.
