After 29 days since the arrest of “Sina Kiani,” a 21-year-old Kurdish Yarsan young man from Kermanshah and a resident of Tehran, there is still no information about his place of detention, physical condition, or legal status, and his family remains in severe concern.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Sina Kiani, a young Kurdish Yarsan worker, was arrested in Tehran by security forces without presenting a judicial warrant and in a completely arbitrary manner and was transferred to an unknown location. Since the time of his arrest, this citizen has been deprived of the right to contact his family and access to a lawyer.
Based on received information, the family of Sina Kiani has stated that the only indication of his condition has been the publication of videos attributed to “forced confessions” on government-affiliated channels on the platform “Rubika.” The broadcasting of these videos has increased concerns about the application of pressure, torture, physical and psychological harm, unfair judicial proceedings, and the possibility of heavy sentences being issued against this Kurdish young man.
The family of Sina Kiani has emphasized that security institutions have so far provided no clear response regarding the fate of their child, and the situation of complete uncertainty continues.
