Saqqez: Temporary Release of Amjad Salehzadeh on Bail

Amjad Salehzadeh, a citizen from Saqqez, has been temporarily released from the city’s prison on bail of 250 million tomans, pending the completion of judicial proceedings.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, Amjad Salehzadeh was released from Saqqez prison.
The report states that his release was secured through the posting of a 250 million toman bail. As of the time of this report, the reasons for his arrest and the charges against him remain unknown.

Amjad Salehzadeh was arrested by security forces on Wednesday, January 24, 2025, in Saqqez. Security agents also searched his home following his arrest.

Amjad Salehzadeh, 38 years old, son of Ahmad, and a resident of Saqqez, has previously faced judicial actions related to his activities. In March 2023, he was arrested after being summoned to the Saqqez Intelligence Office and released a day later on bail. In April 2024, the Saqqez Revolutionary Court sentenced him to a monetary fine in lieu of three months of discretionary imprisonment.
