Saqqez; Rahman Rahimpour Sentenced to Prison and Fine

Rahman Rahimpour, a resident of Saqqez, has been sentenced to five months of suspended imprisonment and a fine of 10 million tomans.

According to Kolbarnews, Rahimpour, a 38-year-old citizen of Saqqez, was convicted by the Revolutionary Court of this city on charges of “propaganda against the government” and sentenced to five months in prison and a fine of 10 million tomans. The prison sentence has been suspended for two years.

Rahimpour was arrested on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, by IRGC intelligence forces in Saqqez and transferred to this agency’s detention center in Sanandaj, known as the “Shahramfar base.”

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, after 31 days of detention in the IRGC intelligence detention center in Sanandaj and Saqqez Central Prison, he was temporarily released on bail of 100 million tomans pending the completion of judicial proceedings.
