Sanandaj; Release of a Citizen on Bail

Azizeh Moradian, a 50-year-old citizen from the village of “Tangisar,” a district of Sanandaj and a resident of Marivan, was released temporarily on bail of 500 million tomans from the Sanandaj Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center after 70 days of arbitrary detention, pending the completion of legal proceedings.

According to Kolbar News, on Monday, December 22, 2025, Azizeh Moradian went on a hunger strike at the Sanandaj Juvenile Correction and Rehabilitation Center in protest against the continuation of her arbitrary detention and the lack of medical care during her detention.

According to Kolbar News, on the morning of Monday, December 1, 2025, security forces arrested Azizeh Moradian at her workplace without presenting a judicial warrant and transferred her to the Sanandaj Intelligence Department detention center for interrogation.

During the arrest, her mobile phone and several personal belongings were confiscated by security forces.

Azizeh Moradian has two children.
