Sanandaj: 9 Citizens Released on Bail Following Nowruz-Related Arrests

Shno Mohammadi, Shirvan Heidari, Edris Heidari, Ariwan Shakeri, Mahmoud Naderi, As’ad Babakarami, Ahmad Saedi, Sirwan Hatami, and Mostafa Hezhbari nine residents of Sanandaj who had been arrested in connection with Nowruz celebrations have been released on bail.

According to Kolbarews, on Saturday, April 5, 2025, these nine individuals were released from Sanandaj Central Prison after each posting 500 million toman (approx. USD 10,000) in bail. The individuals range in age from 28 to 45.

Reports indicate that during their detention, they were denied access to legal counsel and family visits.

As of the time of this report, no formal charges have been publicly disclosed against them.
