According to Kolbarnews, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, Kamyar (Kamal) Oghabi, a 33-year-old citizen from the village of “Bala Gir” in the Oshnavieh district and a member of the Zhinko Environmental Association, was arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.
According to this report, the security forces, without presenting a judicial warrant, raided the home of this citizen and arrested him.
Mr. Oghabi had previously, in 2024–2025, been sentenced to 4 months of discretionary imprisonment due to his environmental activities.
