Marivan; Arrest of a Citizen and Transfer to Security Detention Centers

Soran Sahragard, a citizen from Marivan, was arrested by security forces and transferred to one of the security detention centers for interrogation; an arrest carried out without official notification and amid uncertainty about his fate.

According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, security forces, without presenting a judicial warrant, went to the location where Soran Sahragard was present, arrested him, and transferred him to one of the security detention centers in the city of Sanandaj.

As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrest, the arresting authority, or the possible charges against Soran Sahragard, and the follow-ups by his family have so far remained unsuccessful.

The continued lack of information about the condition of this Kurdish citizen has increased the concerns of his family and relatives.
