Kermanshah: Death of a Citizen by Direct Fire from Government Forces

In the continuation of the bloody crackdown on nationwide protests, Keiyvan Rezaei, a Kurdish citizen and a follower of the Yarsan faith, was killed by direct gunfire from the Nabi Akram Corps during popular protests in the Darreh-Dirij neighborhood of Kermanshah.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Keiyvan Rezaei was shot in the Darreh-Dirij area of Kermanshah and lost his life. Nationwide protests in Darreh-Dirij continued until 3:00 a.m., during which government forces l, especially the Nabi Akram Corps opened heavy fire on protesters, using weapons including DShK heavy machine guns and Kalashnikov rifles.

As of the time of this report, government authorities have provided no official explanation regarding the circumstances of Keiyvan Rezaei’s death.
