Following the Israeli government’s military assault on Iran, the region once again finds itself on the brink of an even deeper crisis. Two reactionary and repressive regimes “the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Israel” are locked in a deadly competition for regional hegemony, turning the lives and livelihoods of millions into pawns in their political and military agendas.
The Islamic Republic, with its long history of repressing ethnic minorities, crushing labor and popular movements, entrenched corruption, and economic mismanagement, holds no legitimacy in representing the people of Iran. On the other hand, the State of Israel, through its ongoing occupation of Palestinian land, killing of civilians, and continuous violations of international law, remains one of the primary sources of instability and violence in the Middle East. A war between these two powers will not lead to peace or freedom, it will only pave the way for internal repression, the strengthening of military-security apparatuses, and the deepening of people’s suffering.
No form of foreign military intervention, by any state or coalition, can serve as a foundation for genuine political change in Iran. While the trajectory of this current military operation remains uncertain, repeated historical experience has shown that foreign attacks and externally imposed “regime change” projects not only fail to deliver freedom but also open the door to humanitarian disasters, social collapse, and renewed authoritarianism. Meaningful and lasting change can only arise from grassroots, organized social struggles rooted in the collective will of the people.
In such a moment, unequivocally condemning both reactionary regimes “the Islamic Republic of Iran and the State of Israel” is a moral, political, and historical necessity. Only through solidarity, resistance, independent organization, and united popular struggles can we dismantle the machinery of domination, occupation, and exploitation, and bring about peace, freedom, equality, and democracy.
