Sharif Ashnab, a young man from Malekshahi, has been transferred to Ilam Central Prison after 19 days in detention, following his transfer to an undisclosed detention facility and interrogation.
According to Kolbarnews, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, Sharif Ashnab, a young man from Malekshahi in Ilam Province, was arrested by security forces without a judicial warrant and was beaten during the arrest.
Following his arrest, security forces transferred him to an undisclosed location.
According to information received, after several days of interrogation at an unidentified detention facility, this citizen was transferred to Ilam Central Prison. Nineteen days after his arrest, he continues to be held in legal limbo.
Throughout his detention and interrogation, Sharif Ashnab has been denied visits and telephone contact with his family. He has also been denied access to a lawyer to date.
