As the wave of security arrests continues in Ilam Province, at least nine Kurdish citizens from various cities and villages of the province have been arrested by forces of the Islamic Republic in recent weeks, and there is still no information available about their condition, place of detention, or possible charges.

According to Kolbarnews, between January 8 and January 28, 2026, “Farhad Shafiei,” “Pouya Nourzi,” “Saeed Ghobadian,” “Omid Fazeli,” “Mostafa Mohammadi,” “Mehrdad Fili,” “Amin Ghobadian,” “Reza Teyj,” and “Mostafa Kamarkhani” were arrested in separate operations without the presentation of any judicial warrant. These arrests were often accompanied by raids on homes or workplaces, the use of physical violence, and in some cases the complete destruction of houses. Despite the passage of several days to more than three weeks, security institutions have so far provided no official explanation regarding the fate of these citizens.
According to Kolbarnews, Farhad Shafiei, 37 years old and from Darreh Shahr, was arrested on January 21, 2026, and after eight days remains incommunicado.
Pouya Nourzi, 35 years old and from Ilam, was arrested on January 9, 2026, and for twenty days there has been no information about his condition.
Saeed Ghobadian, another citizen from Ilam, has been in detention since January 8, 2026, and for more than twenty-one days his family has been unaware of his fate.
Omid Fazeli, a citizen from Badreh, was violently arrested on January 28, 2026, following a raid by security forces on his workplace shop.
Mostafa Mohammadi, from Ilam, was arrested on January 24, 2026, and despite the passage of five days remains incommunicado; this citizen had previously suffered an eye injury during earlier crackdowns.
Mehrdad Fili, from the city of Zarneh in Ilam Province, was arrested on January 24, 2026, in Bandar Abbas while heading to his workplace, and after five days there is still no information about his situation.
Amin Ghobadian, from the village of Sefidkhani in Ilam, was arrested in late January 2026, and for more than two weeks his family has had no information about his place of detention or condition. He had previously been arrested in December 2022 during the “Jina” revolutionary uprising and was subjected to torture and forced confession.
Reza Teyj, a 22-year-old young man from the village of Pakal in Badreh County, was arrested on January 24, 2026, and after five days remains incommunicado.
Mostafa Kamarkhani, another citizen from Ilam, has been in detention for more than three weeks and has also suffered an eye injury.
The continuation of mass arrests, the denial of detainees’ access to lawyers and family members, and the absence of any official information have increased serious concerns about the physical and legal condition of these Kurdish citizens.
