Eslamabad-e Gharb; Death of Navid Mirzaei During Nationwide Protests

Navid Mirzaei, a young man from Eslamabad-e Gharb, lost his life after being directly shot by suppressive forces of the Islamic Republic nationwide protests in the city.

According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Navid Mirzaei was directly shot by suppressive forces during nationwide protests in Eslamabad-e Gharb, Kermanshah Province, and lost his life.

The body of this deceased citizen was buried on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Imamzadeh Hassan Cemetery in Eslamabad-e Gharb.

As of the time of preparing this report, it is not known whether the family was required to pay money or sign a written pledge in order to receive Navid Mirzaei’s body; however, informed sources had previously told Kolbarnews that government institutions in Kermanshah Province have demanded amounts ranging from 700 million to one billion tomans from families in exchange for handing over the bodies of those killed, forcing families to pay these sums.
