Dehgolan: A Civil Activist Sentenced to Prison

Mohammad Rezaei, a civil activist from Dehgolan, has been sentenced by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran to one year in prison.

According to Kolbarnews, Mohammad Rezaei, a Kurdish language teacher and a member of the NGO Nozhin from Dehgolan, was recently sentenced to one year of imprisonment on charges of “propaganda against the regime.” The report states that his initial trial session was held recently, and the verdict issued by the Revolutionary Court was officially delivered to him on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

On Saturday, July 12, 2025, Mohammad Rezaei was arrested by security forces and held for 55 days at the Sanandaj Intelligence Detention Center.
He was eventually released temporarily after posting bail of 800 million tomans, pending the conclusion of his legal proceedings.
