Bojnord; 28 Days of Arbitrary Detention and Uncertainty Regarding Meysam Shakeri

After 28 days since the arrest of Meysam Shakeri, a Kurdish young man from Bojnord, this citizen is still being held in an uncertain situation, and concerns about his life and fate have increased.

According to Kolbarnews, Meysam Shakeri was arrested on Friday, January 9, 2026, by security forces without presenting a judicial warrant and was transferred to an unknown location. After the end of the detention and interrogation period, he was transferred in recent days to Bojnord Prison, but he has still been deprived of the right to access a lawyer and meet with his family.
Based on received information, during the entire 28 days of arbitrary detention, this citizen has had no contact or in-person visits with his family, and security institutions have so far provided no clear explanation regarding his legal status and the progress of his case.

The continued deprivation of Meysam Shakeri from basic legal rights has seriously increased concerns regarding the possibility of unfair judicial proceedings, the issuance of heavy sentences, and threats to his health and life.
