Ismaeil Gerami, labor activist, has been summoned to Branch 3 of the Public and Revolutionary Court of District 33 in Tehran, located in Evin Prison.
According to Kolbarnews, citing the Council of Retired Personnel of Iran, Ismaeil Gerami has been summoned to the courthouse.
Based on a notification issued on the April 31, 2024, by Branch 3 of the Public and Revolutionary Court of District 33 in Tehran, Ismaeil Gerami is required to appear in this branch to defend himself against the charge of affiliation.
Ismaeil Gerami was arrested in late autumn of 2023 during a gathering of retirees in Tehran and was released after a few hours.
This labor activist was previously sentenced by Branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court of Tehran for the charge of “assembly and collusion with the intention of committing a crime against national security” to five years of imprisonment, 74 lashes, and a two million tomans cash fine. This verdict was confirmed by Branch 36 of the Tehran Appeal Court in August/September 2021.
Ismaeil Gerami, a 68-year-old labor activist, is the husband of Zahra Rouhzad, a retired teacher and a teacher’s union activist.
