Continuing the suppression of nationwide protests, Siavash Shirzad, a citizen from Bukan County and a resident of Tehran, lost his life after being directly shot by government forces during nationwide protests.
According to Kolbarnews, on Thursday, January 8, 2026, Siavash Shirzad, originally from Bukan County and residing in Tehran, was shot by suppressive forces during nationwide protests and lost his life.
According to informed sources, security forces of the Islamic Republic prevented his body from being handed over to his family for burial in the city of Bukan, and his family was forced to transfer his body to the village of “Tazeh Qaleh” for burial.
As of the time of preparing this report, government authorities have provided no official explanation regarding the circumstances of Siavash Shirzad’s death.
