Ardeshir Zarei, a Kurdish Yarsani citizen from Dalahu and a resident of Saveh, who suffered from heart disease and was on the street after visiting a doctor and a pharmacy to obtain medication, was shot from behind with a military bullet and a final execution-style shot, and died instantly.
According to Kolbarnews, on Monday, January 5, 2026, Ardeshir Zarei, son of Rahman, 40 years old and born in 1985, originally from the village of Darvit in Dalahu County, Kermanshah Province, and a resident of Saveh, was suffering from heart disease and was on the street after visiting a doctor and a pharmacy to obtain medication when he was shot from behind with a military bullet and a final execution-style shot, and died instantly.
He belonged to the working class and was the father of three young children named Daniel, Mardin, and Bania.
According to informed sources, up to one billion tomans in cash was taken in order to hand over the body of Ardeshir Zarei, and his burial ceremony is scheduled to be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the village of his birth.
As of the time of preparing this report, government authorities have provided no official explanation regarding the circumstances of Ardeshir Zarei’s death.
