In a collision and subsequent fire involving two Sukhtbari vehicles on the Sarbaz–Iranshahr road, two Baloch Sukhtbars lost their lives and two others were injured.

According to Kolbarnews, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, two Sukhtbari vehicles collided on the Sarbaz–Iranshahr route, near the Zebri Bog village area. The accident resulted in the deaths of at least two Sukhtbars and injuries to two others.
The deceased Baloch Sukhtbars have been identified as Aref Rigigazooei, aged 30, and Mohammad (last name unknown), aged 25, both residents of Zahedan.
The two injured Sukhtbars, identified as Aslam and Ali, grandsons of Jangi Khan and residents of Zebri Bog village in Sarbaz County, suffered minor burns.
Reports indicate that Aref and Mohammad were unable to escape the vehicles due to the severity of the crash and died in the flames that engulfed their cars.
Sukhtbari is considered one of the unconventional and dangerous jobs that many Baloch people in Balochistan have been forced to turn to due to the lack of suitable and stable employment. Accidents, vehicle overturns, and direct gunfire from military and security forces are among the dangers that threaten the lives of these Sukhtbars. According to reports from Baloch activists, in the year 2024, at least 375 Baloch Sukhtbars have been injured or lost their lives due to shootings by military forces, traffic accidents, and vehicle fires. Of this number, 240 Sukhtbars were killed and 135 were injured, representing a 55% increase in the number of killed and injured Sukhtbars compared to the year 2023.
