Two environmental activists from Sanandaj, Ramin Salehi and Sabah Salehi, were violently arrested by security forces and transferred to an unknown location.

According to Kolbarnews, on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at around 11:30 a.m., Ramin Salehi, a civil and environmental activist from Sanandaj and a member of the “Ghaleh Hasanabad” mountaineering group, was arrested at his workplace during a raid by security forces.
Security agents arrived at his workplace in several security vehicles and, without presenting a judicial warrant, violently arrested him.
During this arrest, insulting and disrespectful behavior toward fallen environmental activists in Kurdistan was reported. Ramin Salehi was transferred to an unknown location after his arrest.
Later the same day, at around 12:00 p.m., Sabah Salehi, another environmental activist from Sanandaj, was arrested by security forces in his private garden.
This citizen was also arrested without the presentation of a judicial warrant, while handcuffed and blindfolded, and with violent treatment by security forces, and was transferred to an unknown location.
Ramin Salehi and Sabah Salehi are cousins.
As of the time of drafting this report, no information is available regarding the reasons for the arrests, the place of detention, or the condition of these two citizens, and security and judicial authorities have provided no explanation in this regard.
