Mohammadreza Moradi, Salahuddin Hajimirzaei, Behzad Ghavami, Seyed Ghiyas Na’mati, Reza Tahmasbi, Shahriar Naderi, Aram Ebrahimi, Sadegh Kenani, Majid Karimi, Mokhtar Asadi, Fatemeh Zandkarimi, Nasrin Karimi, Faisal Nouri, Rezgar Heidari, and Kourosh Ezzati Amini, all teacher union activists have been summoned to the Criminal Court in Sanandaj.
According to Kolbarnews, these 15 teacher union activists from Kurdistan have been summoned to Branch 109 of the Sanandaj Criminal Court (Second Division). Summons notices were delivered to the individuals on Saturday, June 1, 2025, requesting their appearance at the court on June 9, 2025. The summons is for the purpose of presenting their final defense. The charge against them is “disturbing public order and peace.”
On March 12, 2025, the Sanandaj Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office issued indictments against these activists. Their participation in teachers’ protest gatherings in June 2022 led to the opening of this judicial case.
Among them, Mohammadreza Moradi, Mokhtar Asadi, Fatemeh Zandkarimi, Salahuddin Hajimirzaei, Aram Ebrahimi, Reza Tahmasbi, Seyed Ghiyas Na’mati, Behzad Ghavami, Sadegh Kenani, Majid Karimi, Nasrin Karimi, and Kourosh Ezzati Amini have previously been arrested or faced legal action due to their union activities.
